Artist Duncan Laurie, electrical engineer Gordon Salisbury and designer Todd Thille explore the use of consciousness technology, old and new, to further artistic ends. Experimental objectives include the acquisition and sonification of plant and mineral signals, deemed ‘nature intelligence’, as these signals often spontaneously become interactive with people and music. Our experimentation has led to an ongoing collaborative process with numerous artists and inventors.
